Nazik SELMOUNI, NAZIK SELMOUNI, is a thirty six-years-old young Moroccan woman, she is born in Marrakesh, exactly in the Kasbah quarter, one of the most renowned quarters of the Medina that is attached to royal palace.

Infinite lover of my country and my own native city traditions, I was fortunate to attend the tribute paid to a sublime and welcoming city such as Marrakesh, concretised by the world interest and revealed by numerous multinational investment projects that favoured our city in the last few years, A deserved homage that eased it out from its shadow and economic faintness.

Also felicitous to see these sublime Ryads, that I knew along my childhood as an entity full of impressiveness, being saved from the worsening and wrecking owing to the carelessness or the financial inability of their heirs and accordingly, a safeguard of our earnest and old  Medina that accounts for our entire cultural heritage and history.

Attending the rebirth of age-old workmanships of our bygone master craftsmen, as they are naturally and preciously enhanced and commercialized within the greatest world decoration shows. Thus, Marrakech embodies the birth of our full history and tradition’s perpetuity.

I Beared witness this superb change in my native city, as a young college graduate and a workmanship sales manager in a communication company, I was lead up to assist the creation experience of a guesthouse by one of our friends, for the first time in 1998.
My experience was complete, from the search of the adequate Ryad (about 350 visited Ryads), the constitution of a complete investment dossier for foreigners in Morocco, the Ryad renovation in a full respect of the urban and juridical laws of a typical guesthouse and of our age-long architectural norms, its fitment according the hotel business standards and finally to the creation of the juridical exploitation status for management and commercialisation of the Ryad as a guesthouse.

Several foreigner friends, who profited from my assistance services, have encouraged me to create an enterprise of assistance and management. Accordingly from this experience is born Maisons&Traditions as a limited company that specializes in the assistance and management of guesthouses in the beginning of 2000. It is the first company of guesthouses management, all Moroccan, in Marrakesh.
Therefore, from that time we have created numerous guesthouses or private houses in the Medina, including the dwelling of the French illustrious writer JACQUES LANZMANN.

Today, we are preparing our first project of four Kasbahs, at the bottom of the Atlas Mountains in the outskirts of the Medina of Marrakesh, exactly, in the Ourika Valley. It will be ready by the end of 2007, thereby; we are willing to offer our client a diversified lodging model, between Ryads and Kasbahs in the Atlas Mountains.

Our shibboleth is our dynamic and professional team, which is a lover of its red city, while being seasoned and accurate.
We always make sure to protect our partner’s pleasure, which is to create a dream lodging in Marrakech, invite their friends, and family to share this delight, regardless of the heavy task of the daily hotel management that we can assume in an equal effectiveness and accordingly ensure a profitability of their projects in a full security.

Our aim is to keep the confidence of our partners in our country, while advising and guiding them to ovoid any disturbance or surprise and help them secure their project thus maintain the success and the continuity of these houses that have given a helping hand to our city.
